Weekend of June 21st–23rd
School’s out and weather in the Applegate Valley should be just about perfect. While the wedding itself will take place on the 22nd (see below), we love the idea of roping you all in for a whole weekend of fun (what good is one night when we can keep you for two?). We have full run of the ranch for the entire weekend and we’ll fill it up with optional activities to keep you busy and entertained.
Wedding Ceremony
Saturday, June 22nd
Welcome Reception.: 3–4pm
Ceremony: 4–4:30pm Dinner: 4:30–6:30pm Dancing (and other): 6:30—11pm (otherwise known as “?”)
Musical entertainment during the ceremony will be provided by dear friend and mega-mensch Will McKay. During dinner, please enjoy the old-timey tunes of Old Barn Preservation Society.
Weekend Schedule
Friday, 6.21
Arrive at Yale Creek Ranch any time after 10am. If you need to arrive earlier for any reason, just let us know so that we can make sure the gate will be open for you. Make a stop at the welcome table as you drive in.
Rehearsal brunch (for those involved with ceremony): 11am–12pm @ The Barn
Dinner: 5pm @ Orchard House
Karaoke (and games) @ The Barn: 6:30pm–11pm
Saturday, 6.22
Kids’ Dash: 8am The days of our children being jealous of our running events are over! Behold the Kids Dash, where we will send our children on a short sprint around the ranch grounds while we cheer them on. Dempsey Dash: 9am It’s been too long, let’s do it again, just somewhere … else. This time we’ll be doing a trail run so you can get a better taste of southern Oregon. We will carpool to the Bear Gulch Trailhead (about 15 mins away) before starting. Race route will be flagged for your convenience. I believe we’re looking at a 4.7-mile loop (you can keep it shorter by just turning around before we tell you to). Maps will not be provided, so don’t get lost! (It’d be impressive if you did, though.)

Sunday, 6.23
Grab & go breakfast will be offered starting at 8am. Feel free to help us clean up while you’re eating. Then… off you go! Thanks for celebrating with us.
Yale Creek Ranch

Yale Creek Ranch is situated in the gorgeous-in-every-way Applegate Valley and can be reached via a lovely and rural 25-minute drive from downtown Jacksonville. (For those headed there from the Medford airport, the drive is about 40 minutes.) It sits on 125 acres of pastures and forest, beyond which you’ll find precious BLM land. In short, you’ll have room to roam. It’s as picture-perfect a southern Oregon setting as you’re gonna get. The central barn will serve as our primary party site and meeting point, but please feel free to spread yourself out and explore to your heart’s content. For those staying onsite, there are shared toilets and shower rooms and a large industrial kitchen in the barn (open to all).
